Here,finnaly at Pennstate

Assalamualaikum...

Whoa...Cant believe i've finally arrived at Pennstate...and now it has been 8 days since the day i arrived at the state college airport...it was an exciting but still, a really exhausting journey.

I departed from Malaysia at 3.15pm but i had to say goodbye to my family 2 hours early by 1.15pm!It's really hard to say goodbye...i speechlessly hugged umi(twice…), abah, afiq n iffah...(cant really hug adib coz he for sure will refuse). Only tears keep streaming from my eyes...it really was a sad moment coz i might wont be able to meet them for another 3years.Anyway,enough about sadness, lets go on into my journey to Pennstate…!

The flight took about 4hours before i transit at Taipei, Taiwan for 2hours and i've watched kurosagi the movie during that flight. I give 3star for that movie. At Taipei, we dont really go or do anything other than checked out, went to toilet and checked in again...2hours might seem long but it really doesnt coz we have to be on the plane at least 30 minutes early before the departure time. But at least i can tell people that i've stepped my foot at taipei! hehe...

After that my friends and I continued our journey to Los Angeles which took around 12hours to arrive there. It's an extremely long and bored journey but it wasnt that bad coz I was sleeping half of the time during the trip to LA. Then, we arrived safely at LA. Again, we have to check out but at LA we have to pass through several pit stops by the American security thingy in order to make sure that we don’t bring in any illegal objects and thankfully everything went on smoothly…It was the barakah from surah Yasin ayat11…Recite it whenever you want to get out of any expected or unexpected trouble with condition your intention of the journey (or etc.) is good…like me…hehe…

I managed to take some picture at LA and the picture beside is the scene of LA from the one of the entrances of the airport. Picture on the right of this page is a picture of me n farhana outside the LA airport.

While waiting to depart to Dulles (that’s what the Americans call Washington DC),I ate some French fries and drank coke bought by my friend at McD and know what, they only have ketchup, no Chili sauce! I really REALLY want a chili sauce rite now…

And then we checked in again for United Airlines to Washington DC and State College…

We took a shuttle for the last plane as we arrived at Dulles. The plane to state college was unexpectedly small…Maybe can only fit around 50persons…The funny thing was two of my friends, Farhana and Ain, and me, were sitting at the row which locate the emergency doors. And the stewardess asked us whether we were ok to be near the emergency doors, could we handle it if any emergency do occur and do we want to change to another seat…It was an “uneasy but funny” situation because of course we don’t want and expect any accident will happen while we were on our journey to Pennstate..! However, we were quite nervous when we were asked those questions and yes…We had read the emergency instructions carefully…=P

And finally, we arrived at State College Airport…From inside the plane through a window, I could see the weather was sunny as it’s still summer but as I got out of the plane, it was windy and cold! It wasn’t too cold but it was cold. Then, I got on a taxi to get to Pennstate temporary housing (coz all of us can’t get in our apartments before 19August)…During the journey to the temporary housing, the surrounding was so green and peaceful…There were some buildings here and there and some crop areas…”So this is how an American village looks like…” I thought….and I just simply love it… Now, I’m looking forward for the next adventure ahead!
